[Closed] Protein in gelatin....
@aaronzwoman01 Everything counts, so take the ingredients of the recipe amounts & total your macros & divide by the serving size you ate.
However, you will see from the attached Knox Unflavored gelatin that 1/4 of an envelope only has 5 calories, & 2 grams of protein. so depending on how which brand you used & how much 3 TBL works out to be, & how much you ate, it shouldn't be too much of a game changer.
Instead of zipfizz, you can try these which both have clean ingredients:
- Dr, Berg's electrolyte powder, - https://shop.drberg.com/electrolyte-powder-regular
- Vega Sport Hydrator - https://www.amazon.com/Vega-Sport-Electrolyte-Hydrator-Servings/dp/B00DYPMDAS/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1529827112&sr=8-5&keywords=Vega%2BHydrator&dpID=41dPn27zfsL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1
I hope that helps!! 😀 😀
I cannot drink zipfizz , no matter what I put it in. I've tried all the flavors ugh! I've made the gummies with it and want to know do we count the protein in the gelatin?
Recipe was only
1 c water
2 Tbsp hwc
3 Tbsp unflavored gelatin
1 tube zipfizz
I would definitely give Dr Bergs or Vega Hydrator a try.
Dr Bergs has a lighter taste and Vega Hydrator has a sweeter, stronger taste but both are excellent. I prefer Dr Bergs as it has 1000 mg potassium in one serving and Vega I have to use 2 1 /2 scoops to get 1000 mg of potassium.
And as Judy said there are no free calories, so count them.
