My friends call me Pinky. I'm 67 and I am a long distance runner who is training to run the New York City Marathon this November 4th.
In my 50's I decided to train for competitions in Masters Natural Bodybuilding.
Back then things were different. You put in three months of eating extremely low carbs and extremely low fat. So many people who were in training would hit the wall by week nine and have to drop out. I loved competing but I went through a few difficult years. But I never said never again.
The hardest part was during off season when many of us would pack on between 20-30 pounds and have to diet down all over again.
I'm curious to see how my body changes now that I'm taking my Ketogenic lifestyle up to a new level by beginning the next 90 days.
I'm not going to rush because I can't take away from my running now that I'm pushing on weekends 20, 22, etc mile runs.
I'm looking forward to learning so much and to meet many people who are also making changes to their lives.
