@ketousa You did nothing wrong. I know that I've been in a funk these past few days and maybe Jonathan has too. I can't speak for him. Yet, I know he did not mean to ignore you at all. That's a fact.

I'm not sure what he was thinking for your original post. But maybe you need more salt or maybe your body wants more calories for more energy. Do you take any other supplements for electrolytes? 

With other areas of your life, I'm just thinking of things in this all... How's your sleep and stress for you?

No problem. Thought I ran afoul of the boards rules somehow.

Vitamin wise: Centrum, Fish oil, Zinc, Vitamin C

2 tablespoons per day of Brain Octane Fuel

1 Tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil.

 

5-6 glasses of water per day.

3-4 cups of coffee with a hit of heavy cream per day.

Other than that, nothing else.

@ketousa Hey! I am so sorry! My weekend was super super busy! So I have a couple recommendations for you macros, I would up fat and drop protein a bit. Also, I would encourage counting total carbs and keeping them below 20 at the most. When trying to lose weight I find 15-10 Total is even better. I think that would have a huge impact on getting to your goals. 

 

 

If you were being coached on me with 1610  calories, this is what your macros would look like- 140f fat, 70g of protein & 15-10 Total carbs

So 10-15 carbs (gross) per day?

Yesterday, for my one meal, I had a steak (8-10 oz) cooked in butter with pepper & salt. Had 1 bag (4.5 cups) of broccoli (18 carbs gross, 9 carbs net) with cheese.

So in this instance, should I reduce the only form of carbs to get under that 15 carbs? What should I replace it with?

@ketousa yes exactly, I would replace the carbs with protein or simply some exra butter on top of your steak

Hey @theketoroad I am having a prolotherapy session on my injured neck Friday.  The M.D. doctor wants me to have some carbs after the session to aid healing.  Should I just have a bunch of berries one time, do some cardio a little after to burn it off?  Then go back to under 10 carbs and the program?  I am in Phase I week three, beating estimated fat loss targets in the spreadsheet.

Hello everyone! I'm Heidi Reis, live in Grant Park, smack dab in the city of Atlanta, I own and broker a real estate company called Abode Agency, we have a lot of fun! I  started Keto Nov 2018 week of Thanksgiving. Lost 20 lbs as of Jan 30th. Have plateaued since, but have been working out since and definitely see that I am losing inches just not actual weight. Need to lose 25 more lbs! I'm excited to be here, TY!

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm from Manhattan, KS (The Little Apple 😉 )

I started keto over 2 years ago and lost over 100lbs! But now I'm interested in getting into a deeper state of ketosis because my body fat percentage isn't where I want it to be yet. I'm fine with the number on the scale, but would very much like to lose a couple more jean sizes. I've loved watching Matt and Megha since going keto, and watching their keto cut playlist on YouTube has convinced me to start my own. Looking forward to getting started 😀

@ken I honestly wouldn't have any carbs after the surgery, with being in a state of ketosis, I dont think it will have the effect you doctor thinks it will. That being said, I am not your medical professional. If you do decided to go that route , I would immediately get back on plan.

roger diddly dodger that one.  The doc gets keto and so on but says I will need carbs for the healing.  There is no way for me to know if he is right.

I like kicking ass, taking names, going to the gym, tapping that fat, feel like pretty soon I will be back to my Ironman ways...  What would a handful of blackberries hurt I think.

I'm Sam. I'm 32, from Massachusetts & have been doing keto since 12/31/18.

My husband and I started keto to hopefully help us with fertility issues that we've been working through for 2+ years along with weightloss and a healthier lifestyle. I also train strongman and am looking forward to optimizing my nutrition, gym time, and getting to know my body better.

Sam, my business partner tried everything.  One round of (expensive) acupuncture with a fertility specialist in Atlanta, GA - 10-11 months later I think twins.
